Elevate Your C8 Corvette with the TeamCorvette Windshield LED Kit: A Step-by-Step Install Guide

The C8 Corvette is full of "Easter eggs," but none are as iconic as the Team Corvette etching in the windshield. The TeamCorvette LED kit is designed specifically to illuminate this detail, giving your interior a custom, high end glow that stands out at any show. Day or night, your Team Corvette etching will shine bright! Better yet, everything is designed and assembled in the USA, even the included trim tool! This guide will walk you through the installation process to ensure a professional, wire-free finish.

What You’ll Need
One of the best parts about this kit is how little equipment is required.
-
Tools: A 10mm socket and the trim tool included with your kit.
-
Time: Approximately 30-45 minutes.

Step 1: Accessing the Battery
Before you begin wiring, you need clear access to the battery terminals. Start by popping off the three plastic trim panels in the frunk area [00:17]. There are clips along the sides and top that will release with gentle pressure. Once these are out of the way, remove the smaller trim piece near the base of the windshield using the included trim tool [00:56].

Step 2: Wiring for Power
Lay your LED assembly loosely along the frunk area, routing the harness behind the washer fluid line for a cleaner look later [01:36].
-
Positive Terminal: Connect the red wire to the positive battery terminal and fasten it with the included nut [01:54].
-
Negative Terminal: Use your 10mm socket to remove the nut on the negative post, attach the black wire, and tighten it back down [02:23].

Step 3: Pairing the Remote
Once connected, the LEDs will blink blue. Grab your remote and press the ON button. The lights will blink green to confirm a successful pairing [02:50].

Step 4: Precision Alignment
To get the perfect glow, you need to align the LEDs exactly with the windshield etching.
-
Press Button 3 on the remote to illuminate only the alignment markers on the strip [03:03].
-
Line up the left side with the Corvette logo and the right side with the last "E" in the "Corvette" text.
-
Gently push the assembly into the gap between the dashboard and the windshield [03:31]. If it isn't perfect, you can carefully pull it back out by the wire and try again.

Step 5: Professional Wire Tucking
The difference between a "DIY" look and a professional install is the wiring.
-
Dashboard & A-Pillar: Start massaging the wire into the gap between the A-pillar and the dashboard [04:11]. Use the trim tool to tuck it behind the foam for a completely hidden finish [04:38].
-
Door & Fender: Continue routing the wire down the door trim and behind the rubber weatherstripping [06:05].
-
Under Hood: Route the wire into the fender area, making sure it stays to the right of the hood hinge to avoid pinching [07:06].

Step 6: Final Cleanup
Secure the harness to the washer fluid line using the provided zip ties [07:58]. Be careful not to over-tighten them—just enough to keep the wire in place. Snip the excess tails with flush cuts for the cleanest look [08:49].

Advanced Features: Web App & Syncing
If you are already running Boosted Lighting Engine Bay Lights, this kit is designed to integrate seamlessly. The TeamCorvette LED will seamlessly connect to the internal "Boosted Lighting" Wi-Fi network [10:48].
You can control the colors and effects through the dedicated web app by navigating to tc.local or engine.local in your phone's browser [13:20]. This allows you to sync your windshield lighting with your engine bay for a unified look.
